Support the FHSF

From the original George Divers house, to the Jefferson Room, the Dependency Wing, the Ice House and more, we are working together with you to steward Jefferson's legacy at Farmington and to bring our history alive through educational programs, historical tours, and social events.

These programs and events are only possible with your support. Donors gain access to our regular programs (click here to see the Program Schedule). All research and activities of the Foundation are funded by donations. While most supporters are members of the Farmington Country Club, membership in the Club is not required. Interested non-members are encouraged to donate and participate in the Foundation activities.

The Foundation only funds projects that receive approval from a panel of restoration and preservation architects known as the Farmington Historical Review Committee. The committee consists of architects from Monticello and Poplar Forest; both organizations are experts in the field of Jefferson’s architecture. An example of a project funded by the Foundation is the current restoration of the historic ice house, circa 1800.

We offer various donor levels, each based on your donation for the year (see below). Donations can be made online through an FCC member account (see below). Check or cash donations can be sent to:

Farmington Historical Society Foundation
1625 Country Club Circle
Charlottesville, VA 22901

Your gift may be tax deductible. No goods or services will be exchanged for this donation. The Farmington Historical Society Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization. For further questions regarding the tax deductibility of your gift, please consult your tax advisor.

Thank you for supporting the Farmington Historical Society Foundation.
