Not only was Thomas Jefferson President of the United
States, Author of the Declaration of Independence, and
Father of the University of Virginia, but he was also a pioneer in introducing Roman Revival architecture to America. K. Edward Lay—Professor Emeritus of architectural design, history, and historic preservation at the University of Virginia—will present Jefferson's influence on classical American buildings.
