Farmington Country Club is a member-owned private club founded in 1927. It is recognized as a Platinum Club of America and ranks as the top private club in Virginia. Farmington is located in Charlottesville, Virginia, a college community consistently rated as one of the best places to live in America.
Portions of the Farmington Clubhouse date to 1780 and were designed by Thomas Jefferson. The Clubhouse includes 40 overnight guest rooms used extensively throughout the year by members and their guests. The magnificent grounds are maintained by master landscapers and a large staff of dedicated groundskeepers. Food and beverage facilities include two a la carte dining rooms, each with its own kitchen, seating 300; four private dining rooms seating 180; a ballroom that accommodates 250; and two seasonal snack bars. Athletic facilities include 28 holes of golf; 15 outdoor tennis courts, three indoor tennis courts and three paddle tennis courts; an Olympic-size swimming pool; and a state-of-the-art fitness center.
