Farmington Historical Society Foundation
The purpose of the Farmington Historical Society Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, is to raise funds for the restoration and preservation of historically important architecture created by Thomas Jefferson and now owned by Farmington Country Club.
Historians, architects and architectural historians recognize the international significance of Farmington’s historic structures. Historical architects Mesick, Cohen, Wilson and Baker have said, “Farmington is a cultural treasure of national and international importance and has much to teach us.”
The Foundation will only fund projects that receive approval from a panel of restoration and preservation architects known as the Farmington Historical Review Committee. The committee consists of architects from Monticello and Poplar Forest, both organizations that are experts in the field of Jefferson’s architecture.
