Avid and novice golfers alike will find Farmington a haven for the sport. Our 28 holes include the original south and north nines, that make up Farmington's Main Course, laid out by Fred Findlay in 1927. The Main Course is consistently recognized as one of Virginia’s top, most challenging traditional golf courses.
Farmington's unique 10-hole East Course and state-of-the-art practice facility were renovated in 2016 by world-renowned Coore & Crenshaw. The newly renovated premier East Course is ideal for all levels of golfers to have a fun, exciting and a challenging experience in less than two hours. Farmington's new practice facility simulates on-course conditions and provides an opportunity for creative shot-making. In 2017 Farmington's Performance Center will open with five indoor hitting bays for year-round practice and will be outfitted with the latest fitting equipment from SAM PuttLab and TrackMan Technology. Farmington’s commitment to providing the finest golf facilities for our members and their guests is unparalleled.
Furthering that commitment on a daily basis is our talented staff of golf professionals, led by PGA Head Professional Rob McNamara who was named PGA Merchandiser of the Year for the Mid-Atlantic Region in 2002 and 2008. Farmington’s golf shop offers outstanding service plus an award-winning selection of equipment and merchandise.
Farmington members and their guests enjoy a wide variety of golf activities including: tournaments and special events, private or group instruction, men’s and ladies teams and leagues, fun-filled junior programs and much more. Other services available throughout the year include men’s and ladies golf locker rooms, bag storage in a climate controlled room, club repair and USGA golf handicaps.
