Club Staff

Joe Krenn, General Manager/COO
 

Joe reports to the President and the Board of Directors and serves as Assistant Secretary of the corporation. Joe has complete responsibility for all aspects of the Club’s activities and operation and full responsibility for all Club staff, including recruitment, hiring, training, scheduling, compensation and performance review. Joe recommends, implements and administers the policies of the Club as directed by the Board of Directors. He develops operational policies and procedures to support Club standards in all areas while meeting the financial goals of the Club. He is responsible for the proper maintenance of all Club assets and the long-term financial health of the Club. Joe serves as an ex-officio member of all Club committees and chairs the Club’s Staff Advisory (SAC) Committee. In May, 2012 Joe became the Club's fifth general manager in its 85-year history.

 

 


Wayne Hall, Assistant General Manager

Wayne reports to the General Manager. His principal responsibilities include overseeing the Building Maintenance, Grounds Maintenance, and Golf Course Maintenance Departments, as well as the Tennis Shop, the Golf Shop and the Fitness Center. Wayne acts as staff liaison to the Golf, Tennis, Green and Fitness Committees and serves as the primary Club liaison to the Farmington Property Owner’s Association (FPOA). He oversees all services provided by the Club to the FPOA, including the maintenance of all roads and the water system, and coordination of projects. Wayne served as Project Manager for the Capital Improvement Project in 1998. He serves on the Club’s Staff Advisory (SAC) Committee and in the absence of the General Manager, has full responsibility for and authority over the daily operation of the Club. Wayne has been with Farmington since 1980.

 

Julie Brown, Chief Financial Officer

Julie reports to the General Manager and is responsible for the management of all Club finance, communications and information systems. This includes the accurate and timely production and distribution of periodic financial statements, cash management strategies, budget development and compliance enforcement, capital expenditure management and ad hoc analysis and strategy recommendations as requested. Julie works closely with the Club Treasurer and the Board of Directors and serves on the Club’s Staff Advisory Committee. She joined the Farmington staff in June 2012.  

 

 

 

Monica LaRue Camfield, Member Services Manager
Monica reports to the General Manager and is responsible for managing the Club’s governance, administrative, and member services functions. She oversees membership administrative activities, serves as a primary resource for all governance matters, including bylaws and policies, and is responsible for new member engagement and retention. She is also the reciprocal correspondent with other clubs. Monica serves on the Club’s Staff Advisory Committee and joined the Farmington staff in May 2008.

 

 

 

 

 


Allyn Gutauskas, Human Resource Manager

Allyn reports to the General Manager and is responsible for all aspects of the Club’s human resource activities, including recruiting and staffing, new employee orientations, training and development, performance management, employee relations, internship programs and workplace safety. Allyn assists the Controller with compensation and benefits administration. She serves on the Club’s Staff Advisory (SAC) Committee and joined the Farmington staff in November 1998.







Colin O’Hanlon, Food and Beverage Director
Colin reports to the General Manager and is responsible for all aspects of the Club’s food and beverage operations, including all dining rooms and kitchens, snack bars and catering. All food and beverage department managers report to him, including the Executive Chef, Terrace Room Manager, Catering Director and the Farmington Grill Manager. He serves on the Club’s Staff Advisory (SAC) Committee and joined the Farmington staff in September 2009.







Tyler Pickens, Clubhouse Manager
Tyler reports to the General Manager and is responsible for supervising the Front Office, Housekeeping, Laundry, Children’s Place, Club security and all locker room facilities. The Clubhouse Manager serves as a staff liaison to the House and Grounds Committee and oversees the work of any outside contractors or interior designers retained by the House and Grounds Committee. He also serves on the Club’s Staff Advisory (SAC) Committee. He joined the Farmington staff in March 2008.




   

 

Tom Zimmermann, Membership Director
Tom reports to the General Manager and is responsible for all aspects of membership development, recruitment and matriculation. This includes the development and implementation of the Club’s membership marketing plan. Tom maintains positive relations within the community through involvement with civic organizations and local businesses to further the membership development goals of the Club. Tom works closely with the Club’s Membership Committee, which is responsible for membership development and rules and policies. Tom joined the staff in February 2008.


 

 

 

Christy Cormons, Director of Catering
Christy reports to the Food and Beverage Director and is responsible for all aspects of the Club’s Catering Department, including the development of menus and service for all private functions and Club social events. The Director of Catering works closely with the Executive Chef, Food and Beverage Director and the Banquet Service Manager and acts as staff liaison to the Social Committee and helps in planning special Club events such as the New Year’s Eve Gala, July 4th Celebration and Valentine’s Dinner Dance. Christy joined Farmington in February 2012.

Robyn Evans, Director of Fitness
Robyn reports to the Assistant General Manager and is responsible for all aspects of fitness, including personal training, aerobics, massage, special programs (yoga, tai chi, Pilates and Zumba) and general fitness operations. Robyn serves as a staff liaison to the Fitness Committee and organizes quarterly blood drives with the Red Cross and Virginia Blood Services. Robyn joined the Farmington staff in September 1998.

 

 

 

 

 

Michael Goolsby, Front Office Manager

Michael reports to the Clubhouse Manager and is responsible for the daily operations of the Club’s Front Office, which include guestroom reservations and front desk services provided to overnight guests. He hires, trains and supervises all front desk staff. Michael joined the Farmington staff in January 2013.





 

 

Ronnie Hass, Director of Racquet Sports

Ronnie reports to the Assistant General Manager and is responsible for organizing and directing all Club racquet sports, including tennis play on the indoor and outdoor courts, lessons, clinics, tennis schools, tournament plays and club Championships. He hires, trains, and supervises the professional staff, shop employees and court maintenance staff. Ronnie serves as a staff liaison to the Tennis Committee.

Scott Kinnan, Golf Course Superintendent
Scott reports to the Assistant General Manager and has complete responsibility for the appearance and playability of the golf course. He develops operational policies and management practices for golf course maintenance, which uphold Club standards in all areas while meeting the financial goals of the Club. Scott hires, trains, and supervises all staff in the Golf Course Maintenance Department. He serves as a staff liaison to the Green and Golf Committees. Scott joined the Farmington staff in February 2003.





 

Darryl Lawson, Director of Maintenanceimg
Darryl reports to the Assistant General Manager and is responsible for the maintenance of the Club's buildings and physical plant. He is responsible for the hiring of technicians, the prioritization and scheduling of all preventative maintenance and repairs and also many small constructions projects. Darryl supervises technicians who have skills in electrical, plumbing, mechanical, painting and carpentry. Darryl worked in the construction trade for 29 years before joining Farmington in 1999.

Rob McNamara, Golf Professional
Rob reports to the Assistant General Manager and is responsible for all aspects of golf play, including lessons, clinics, golf schools, tournament play and Club championships. He hires, trains and supervises professional staff, as well as shop and outside services staff, starters and rangers. Rob manages the Golf Shop as his personal business and owns its inventory. He serves as a staff liaison to the Green and Golf Committees. Rob joined the Farmington staff in February 1994.







Russell Napper, Director of Housekeeping
Russell reports to the Clubhouse Manager and is responsible for cleanliness and sanitation in all public areas and guestrooms in the Clubhouse. He hires, trains and supervises the Housekeeping and Laundry Department staffs. Russell joined the Farmington staff in 1979.





 

 

 

Scott Poff, Executive Chef


Scott reports to the Food and Beverage Director and is responsible for all aspects of the clubs culinary offerings. This includes the development of menus and execution for all of the clubs social events, ala carte dining and private functions. The executive chef works closely with the food and beverage director, purchasing manager, catering director, executive pastry chef and the chef de cuisines of the food and beverage departments. He hires, trains and supervises all members of the culinary brigade. He joined the Farmington staff in December 2011.

Janet Rogers, Horticulturist/Grounds Manager
Janet reports to the Assistant General Manager and is responsible for the design and maintenance of the Club grounds, including all shrubs, turfgrass, flowers and trees. She also maintains the ornamental beds and trees on the golf course. She hires, trains and supervises the Grounds Maintenance Department staff. Janet serves as a staff liaison (along with the Clubhouse Manager) to the House and Grounds Committee. She joined the Farmington staff in 1988.
